Location: Dallas, TX (Lakewood)Address: 6350 E Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX 75214Schedule: Flexible 4 shifts per monthClinic Hours: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM, 7 days per weekCompensation: $60 $80/hour (based on experience) + bonusBenefits: Benefits available for eligible clinicians Position Overview NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinical team in Dallas, Texas (Lakewood area).This opportunity is ideal for clinicians seeking flexibility while continuing to practice engaging urgent care medicine in a supportive, well-structured environment.NextCare clinicians enjoy true work-life balance, including flexible scheduling, no after-hours responsibilities, and monthly schedules released in advance. Providers are supported by experienced clinical teams, accessible medical leadership, and clear clinical practice guidelines.You will treat a broad patient population in a fast-paced urgent care setting, managing a wide range of low to moderate acuity conditions while maintaining strong clinical autonomy. Key Responsibilities • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits• Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging• Perform urgent care procedures including suturing, splinting, and wound care• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly to patients• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EHR• Code and bill services appropriately• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values Required Qualifications • Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license• Board certification required• PA: NCCPA certification• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)• Active DEA license or ability to obtain• Ability to treat patients of all ages• Active BLS certification• EHR proficiency• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered) Preferred Qualifications • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience• Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)• Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read About NextCare NextCare is one of the nation's largest urgent care providers, operating 160+ clinics across 11 states.
