Visit our website to learn more! Who will you be working with? You will be responsible for purchases made by the organization. In this role you will evaluate and approve vendors, authorize purchase orders for goods or services. You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. What do we want to know about you? Requires a bachelors degree in area of specialty At least 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area. Knowledge of MRP systems (Oracle preferred). What will your typical day look like? Review requisitions and confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Identify suppliers with Supply Chain Manager based on criteria such as quality certification, capacity analysis, financial analysis, etc. Generate buy orders based on 60-day, 30-day, 14-day buy & adjustment reports. Contact suppliers for PO follow-up, communicates product need-by dates, and enters supplier promise dates into the ERP system. Work with Senior Buyers to assist in expediting orders and build and send Request-For-Quote packages by working with engineering and supplier base. Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine and execute the proper disposition, and carry out the proper Non-conforming Material Return processes. Work with receiving teams to correct Purchase Order or vendor quantity ship errors. Reviews received Purchase Orders for discrepancies as required and expedite delivery of goods to users. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary. The salary rate for this role is currently $55900-74100. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
