About the Company Veterans Evaluation Services is seeking qualified Ophthalmologists and Optometrists to join our provider network as an independent contractor to perform disability examinations for Veterans for the following location: Munster, IN.Applicants must have their own office within 100 miles of the job location About the Role As a clinician, you are an expert in the assessment, evaluation. As an independent contractor with VES, you apply your expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of eye conditions to support a Veteran’s disability claim. Responsibilities Gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations. Develop a medical opinion of the likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service. Ensure that a Veteran’s claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA. Qualifications Ophthalmologist / Optometrist Doctorate Degree in Medicine / Doctorate Degree in Optometry An active and unrestricted license in the state in which exams are performed. Must have a practice location with visual field testing capabilities. Required Skills Provide a meaningful service for the men and women who have worn the cloth of our nation.
