We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Manager to join the Learning & Development team in our Tax practice. This role can sit in any of our CohnReznick Offices. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings. YOUR TEAM. The L&D team is dedicated to equipping CohnReznick professionals with premier learning opportunities and resources, fostering a culture of continuous growth and improvement. Reporting directly to the National L&D Director, the L&D Manager, Tax Learning is intentionally scoped for an experienced learning manager capable of balancing strategic ownership with tactical delivery. The Manager is accountable for the end-to-end Tax learning portfolio, including designing technical learning pathways by level, building scalable curricula and toolkits, and program-managing complex learning initiatives across U.S. and global offices. This role includes direct people management responsibility for one senior individual contributor and requires the ability to coach, prioritize work, and ensure high standards of learning quality. While the Manager sets direction and drives alignment with Tax leaders, they will also maintain a strong hands-on presence in instructional design and program execution particularly for complex or flagship Tax programs. Immediate needs include designing tax technical learning pathways by level and establishing extended learning toolkits. The ideal candidate brings deep instructional design expertise, strong program management discipline, credibility with Tax stakeholders, the ability to take initiatives from concept through execution, and have knowledge in tax compliance, law, and regulations. YOUR ROLE. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Project and Program Management: Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of the Tax learning pathways, with primary focus on technical learning. This includes needs analysis and design with SMEs, scheduling, program logistics, evaluation, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Adult Learning Design: Perform competency mapping and employ advanced principles to create engaging content and programs that cater to the diverse needs within the organization. Tailor instructional materials with a key lean towards engaging, activity-based programs incorporating a variety of delivery mediums, technology, guides, activity books, case studies, simulations, instructor manuals, etc. Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively consult and collaborate with Practice Leaders, People and Culture and other stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document learning needs. Identify high performing Partners and professionals who can contribute to training delivery as instructors; lead train-the-trainer sessions to prepare them. Global Learning: Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify specific learning and development requirements. Establish a scalable and sustainable training process, including a robust train-the-trainer program to empower local leaders to deliver sessions. Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure alignment with firmwide goals while fostering a unified learning culture across offices. Communication: Leverage relationship development skills, negotiation, and influence to drive L&D initiatives forward. Facilitate or co-facilitate learning programs when appropriate. Partner with L&D Operations to advise on CPE policy application for Tax programs, and with Marketing for event management approach elevating the learning experience. Evaluation and ROI: Conduct program evaluations to monitor and evaluate learning programs to measure their effectiveness and implement improvements as needed. Innovation: Perform ongoing internal and external research and benchmarking to identify and implement best practices. Design and implement evaluation methodologies to measure the effectiveness of learning programs in terms of knowledge acquisition, behavioral change, and business impact. YOUR EXPERIENCE. The successful candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, Business, or related field 7-10+ years of progressive experience in learning, program management and instructional design Design engaging, outcomes-based learning experiences across modalities (e.g., in-person, virtual, self-paced) Competence with tax compliance and research software to include CCH Axcess, CCH Engagement, CaseWare, ThomsonReuters Checkpoint, and GoFileRoom Assess complex learning needs, synthesize input from multiple stakeholders, and develop creative, business-aligned solutions using specific learning objectives and outcomes. Partner with Practice Leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build a firmwide Tax curriculum using a blend of knowledge-based and skills-based learning outcome to co-create and champion learning initiatives Use learning metrics, feedback, and business KPIs to evaluate program impact and continuously refine the learning strategy, identify and implement modifications as needed based on outcomes; evaluate teaching and learning by comparing desired and actual learning outcomes. Lead sessions when appropriate, train facilitators, and provide developmentally focused coaching to rising professionals in a high-performance culture Perform ongoing internal and external research and benchmarking to identify and implement best practices Partner with L&D Operations and the Marketing Events team to implement a conference-event management approach for all Tax programs elevating the learning experience Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Copilot, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with learning management systems Ability to maintain confidentiality, credibility, and trust across sensitive initiatives Willingness to travel to multiple office and/or conference center locations across the United States to lead and support in-person programming Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Adult Learning and Development, Human Resources, Organization Development, or Instructional Systems Design ATD, SHRM, HRCI, or related credential Familiarity with the Tax practice arena of a public accounting firm.
