Title: Electronics Repair Technician III Location: Orlando, FL 32822 Pay: $28.00-$29.00 Hours: Monday-Friday;7AM-3:30PM (Overtime as needed) or Pay: $30-$31.90/hour Hours: Monday-Friday; 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Overtime as needed) Overview The Electronics Repair Technician III is a senior-level technician responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electronic equipment to high-quality standards. This role also supports shop operations by overseeing daily activities, mentoring junior technicians, and helping optimize repair processes to maintain production efficiency and quality. Job Description Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electronic equipment and systems according to technical specifications Lead chronic investigations and return reviews to identify root causes of recurring equipment issues Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Technician I and Technician II team members Monitor daily shop performance and coordinate work assignments to meet production and operational goals Maintain and update equipment status records for tracking and reporting purposes Collaborate with operations teams to implement process improvements and lean manufacturing practices Identify opportunities to improve repair procedures and documentation Manage shop consumables including inventory, ordering, disposal, and compliance requirements Ensure chemical cabinets and repair shop materials are properly maintained and stocked Lead team meetings to review KPIs, operational goals, and escalation issues Serve in a supervisory capacity when the team lead is unavailable Required Skills Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electronic and mechanical systems Extensive circuit board troubleshooting and repair experience Ability to determine whether repairs require bench-level or component-level repair vs. rework Experience preparing detailed technical service reports and system diagnostics documentation Ability to mentor junior technicians and support team development Strong attention to detail and knowledge of 5S and safety practices Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical documentation Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED Minimum 6 years of electronics repair experience Minimum 4 years working in an FAA Part 145 regulated environment Preferred Qualifications Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA) and related regulatory requirements Previous lead technician or inspection experience in an FAA 145 environment Strong ability to interpret technical schematics and repair documentation Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently Frequent use of hand tools and electronic testing equipment Strong fine motor skills for handling small electronic components Additional Details Urgent hiring need to support production backlog 90-day contract assignment with potential for extension (conversion unlikely) FAA/DOT clearance required ESD safety shoes required In-person panel interview process Benefits (employee contribution): Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
