Position Summary The Assistant Dispatch Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the dispatch team by coordinating efficient driver routing, ensuring on-time delivery, and assisting with resolving delivery-related issues. This role helps drive customer satisfaction and operational efficiency while supporting the Dispatch Manager in supervising dispatch personnel and maintaining compliance with transportation policies. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily driver dispatch operations Monitor driver schedules and adjust routes as needed to optimize efficiency and on-time delivery Communicate with drivers, warehouse teams, and sales staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution Support driver training and compliance with company policies and DOT regulations Help track and report on route performance, delays, and exceptions Provide coverage and decision-making support in the Dispatch Manager's absence Collaborate with Logistics and Operations teams to maintain accurate and efficient transfer routing between branches Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed Proficiency with dispatch or routing software and Microsoft Office applications Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field 3+ years of experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, or a related field Previous experience in the automotive aftermarket industry Familiarity with DOT compliance and fleet management practices Core Competencies Operational Excellence Customer Service Focus Team Collaboration Time Management Decision Making Attention to Detail Work Environment and Physical Demands Ability to sit or stand for long periods and work in an office and warehouse setting May require occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Limited travel between warehouse and store locations Additional Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
