Join a dedicated healthcare team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse, providing compassionate care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics throughout the perioperative process. This role involves continuous communication with surgeons and anesthesia providers, ensuring equipment readiness, and supporting the surgical team with patient positioning, preparation, and assistance during procedures. Key Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered care with kindness and professionalism. Manage patient anxiety and distress therapeutically, coordinating with social services or pastoral care as needed. Adapt nursing techniques to meet the unique needs of patients across all age groups. Assess and respond promptly to physical symptoms and cardiorespiratory changes. Effectively manage pain and educate patients and families on pain control strategies. Maintain a safe environment that minimizes healthcare errors and promotes quality care. Handle special surgical equipment and instruments with care and precision. Observe and document behavioral and physiological changes related to medications. Ensure proper patient positioning and aseptic technique during all surgical procedures. Prepare and maintain operating room suites before, between, and after cases, including restocking supplies. Education and Experience: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current Registered Nurse licensure with an approved compact license. Certifications including ACLS, NRP, PALS, and BLS within one year of hire. Minimum of one year experience in an operating room setting; perioperative training provided. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in surgical nursing and certifications such as CPAN, CAPA, or CNOR. Professional Requirements: Adherence to regulatory standards and organizational ethics. Reliable attendance and timely completion of duties. Effective, respectful communication with patients, guests, and colleagues. This position is based in a regional healthcare facility serving the Pacific Northwest.
