AI ISV Solution Architect Distinguished Technologist Description - The Commercial PC business is a high-growth, fast-paced business with an innovation and customer-centered mindset, delivering solutions for our enterprise, mid-market, and SMB customers. Within the Commercial PC business is the AI Software Ecosystem team - building out new AI software ISV partnerships with industry-leading ISVs as well as high potential startups to drive adoption of AI PCs. The AI ISV Solution Architect Distinguished Technologist is responsible for driving the technology vision for the AI Software Ecosystem team and being a subject matter expert on AI to ISVs, evangelizing the value of building local models on the device. In this pivotal role, they will leverage their deep technical and business expertise across hardware, software development, services and solutions architecting, business industry knowledge, and technical consulting to influence software developers and enable growth of a brand-new category for AI PCs. Knowledge of SaaS and cloud/hybrid implementations is a must. The Solution Architect will be a recognized authority internally and externally on leading-edge technologies, theories, and techniques. They will provide innovative solutions to complex and critically sensitive issues affecting multiple disciplines and work groups. They will determine and pursue courses of action essential in accomplishing objectives and integrate advanced technology, theories or techniques that have a significant continued impact across disciplines and business units. Finally, they will serve as the organization spokesperson on specialized projects or programs, including championing large projects that affect the company's long-range goals and objectives, and providing mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees Responsibilities: Consult with third party software CEOs, CTOs, developers, and Enterprise customers on technical considerations and development tools to optimize their local models across silicon providers Work closely with partners and internal R&D teams on technical differentiation opportunities, determining API and SDK requirements Oversee the software engineering team for execution of POCs Drive requirements for ISV developer program working cross-functionally Influence strategic partners including Microsoft, Intel, QC, and AMD on technologies and developer tools to support local AI ISV development Develop content and whitepapers to establish HP leadership for ease of development Stay abreast of evolving AI developer landscape and be established as a subject matter expert Work with ecosystem partners and internal teams on short-, medium-, and long-term differentiation roadmaps for the Commercial business Research and anticipate future technology trends and market needs through expert analysis of the computer industry landscape: hardware, software, services, applications, ecosystems, etc. with a vision 3 and 5+ years out Provide strategic technical consulting to internal HP teams, HP partners, and (at times) to key clients, translating insights and requirements into actionable solutions, POCs and incorporated into pan-HP team product/services/software roadmaps Serve as a thought leader, delivering engaging presentations, primers and knowledge sharing to internal and external audiences Transfer knowledge of data access/ consumption mechanisms to business stakeholders, data visualization specialists and/or data scientists Convert business concepts into the next generation of applications and tools, utilizing adaptive agile methodologies to deliver a minimal viable product to the business Support the overall software engineering workload through participation in the planning, creating, testing, and deploying of various systems and applications Serve as a mentor to less experienced engineers and team members Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in the computer/technology industry, including roles in solutions architecture, software development, consulting, business development/sales engineering, product management, and management Hands on Technical architecture experience with SaaS / hybrid AI / local / cloud implementations Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to continuously innovate and stay ahead of market demands AI software development expertise and PC hardware knowledge Strong customer and partner communication skills, as well as the ability to influence CxO level as well as technical R&D teams Exceptional customer centric skills, understanding of use cases Deep expertise in solution architectures and systems understanding of cloud, on-prem, and local deployments. Technical visionary with proven track record in successfully architecting cutting-edge computing solutions that eventually come to market Exceptional technical depth across PC hardware, HW components, AI models/applications, commercial and consumer software applications, operating systems, silicon platforms, collaboration systems, PC telemetry/analytics, HW/SW ecosystems, and a wide variety of commercial and consumer computing solutions Strong business acumen leveraging best practices with the ability to map technology capabilities to strategic business drivers Provides subject matter expertise and acts as a consultant to our ISVs and customers, establishing HP as a leader, as well as consulting to internal HP to support execution of Future of Work principles within HP Builds relationships with other distinguished technologies, fellows, solution architects and futurists pan-HP Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to build credibility and distinction with external partners and customers, stakeholders and HP colleagues Knowledge & Skills Agile methodology Cloud, on-prem, and local AI architectures On-device developer tools and NPU development Application Programming Interface (API) Automation C++ (programming language) Computer Science DevOps Full-stack development Cross-Organizational Skills Effective communication and presentations Results orientation Learning agility Digital fluency Customer centricity Disclaimer This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role. The base pay range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
