Senior Azure Architect

Job Description: The Senior Azure Architect will design and implement enterprise-scale cloud architecture on Microsoft Azure. The role involves creating resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions while guiding application teams on modernization strategies and cloud-native best practices. The architect will also ensure governance, standardization, and operational excellence across deployments. Responsibilities: Develop and refine enterprise reference architectures for compute runtimes, evaluating workload requirements across Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Apps, and Azure App Service. rchitect resilient Tier 1 systems capable of active-active multiregion deployment with strong disaster recovery and failover strategies. Design failover patterns for data platforms including PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, and Redis. Design secure network architectures including hub-and-spoke models, private connectivity, and DNS strategies. Implement security-focused architectures using identity management, managed identities, federated credentials, and policy enforcement. Translate complex infrastructure requirements into standardized, reusable architecture patterns. Ensure deployments meet organizational standards for monitoring, logging, and cost management. Serve as a subject matter expert for Azure architecture and provide guidance to development teams on modernization strategies and cloud-native best practices. Skills: Deep knowledge of Azure platform architecture and service portfolio. Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Experience designing high-availability data solutions using Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB. Strong understanding of Azure networking including virtual networks, application gateways, traffic management, and private connectivity. Experience with observability platforms including application monitoring and metrics tools. Strong knowledge of identity management, authentication flows, role-based access control, and cloud security practices. Should Have: Experience with cloud security posture management tools. Knowledge of financial operations practices including cost monitoring and budget enforcement. Familiarity with GitOps principles and continuous integration and deployment workflows. Experience working with cloud management APIs. Qualification And Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
