DescriptionDescription The General Laborer in a CNC manufacturing company is responsible for assisting in various shop floor operations, including assisting CNC saw cutting, parts washing, material handling, maintenance, and other general tasks to support production. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate commercial motor vehicles with GVW up to 26,000 lbs. Operate commercial motor vehicle generally within 50-75 miles. Demonstrate customer service standards that promote good working relations with customers. Measure and cut material to build crates for transporting. Build routine to moderately complex packing and/or crating. Operate cut-off saw and nail gun. Verify parts are properly identified, accompany required paperwork and properly packaged for transporting. Responsible for securing the load using approved devices and methods. Material Handling: Loading and unloading vehicles, Move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished parts using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually as needed. General Shop Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting machine operators, shop organization & housekeeping, packing parts for shipment, and maintaining safety compliance. Position Requirements Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License DOT Physical Examination Medical Certification Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations/DOT guidelines Knowledge of local roadways and the ability to effectively use maps and direction for efficient routing. Comply with all federal and state regulations and procedures. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Ability to operate hand tools, measuring instruments, calipers and basic machinery. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. This role is essential in supporting operations and ensuring the efficiency of daily manufacturing processes.
