Client: Financial Services Team: TBA Job Title: Database Engineer Location: Zone 2 Contract Length: 12mo Pay Rate: $53 - $57 Top Requirements: 4+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent via work, consulting, training, or military background. Ability to analyze and resolve moderately complex database engineering challenges. Experience collaborating with engineering teams to support database deliverables and compliance needs. Understanding of database policies, procedures, governance, and operational standards. Plusses: Experience with largescale enterprise database environments. Knowledge of performance tuning, database optimization, and database reliability engineering. Experience supporting cloudbased database technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong SQL ability and scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell). Job Summary: This contingent Database Engineer 3 role supports moderately complex database engineering initiatives, including planning, analysis, and execution of database deliverables. The engineer will evaluate database challenges, contribute to resolution efforts, collaborate with partner teams, and ensure adherence to standards, policies, and compliance requirements. The role involves providing technical input to support database reliability, performance, and operational consistency across engineering initiatives. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Participate in moderately complex database engineering initiatives. Review and analyze database challenges requiring evaluation of multiple factors. Provide recommendations and help resolve database engineering issues. Collaborate with internal engineering and operations partners to support delivery of database solutions. Ensure database work aligns with security, compliance, and operational policies. Perform SQL development, tuning, and troubleshooting (if required by team). Assist with database documentation, standards, and configuration changes. Support incident analysis, rootcause investigations, and remediation efforts.
