We are currently looking for a Full Time Pharmacy Technician I to join our Tribal Health Pharmacy Data Operations team located at the Chickasaw Nation Refill Center working 9:00AM-6:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr. Summary: Provides clerical, administrative and technical support to the Pharmacy Department. Involved in the prescription filling process, data entry, phone system, robotics and dispensing of finalized prescription products. Responsibilities: Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types - Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner - Greets and engages with a smile - Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types - Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment - Maintains and promotes professionalism - Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics - Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc. Maintains files, logs, and records Answers the phone, transfers call, takes messages and screens calls per guidelines for areas served Participates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve the quality of assigned work area Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Assists the pharmacist with filling and labeling of prescriptions and communicates with prescribers and their agents to obtain refill authorizations Checks for out-of-date drugs, puts orders away, and prepackages medications in accordance with Pharmacy policies Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies: Essential: Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Maintains clear and complete employee health records Skills: Essential: Basic Computer skills Skilled in operating a computer and/or other equipment related to specific role (i.e. automated currency counters, calculator, projector, binding machine, other related office equipment) Accurately type 25 words per minute Experience: Essential: No prior experience required Education: Essential: High School, GED or Equivalent Credentials: Essential: Pass general background check Working Conditions: Essential: Fast-paced environment Works in a hospital or clinic environment Potential exposure to biohazards Potential exposure to contagious diseases Communications phone, computer Communications written, verbal May be required to assist individuals with unmanaged emotions Interacts with clinical, support, technical, professional or management staff in a variety of settings and situations Pass pre-employment drug test Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach Use computer up to 25% of shift Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs Standing up to 100% of shift Walking up to 100% of shift
