The average number of cases performed per day is six. Common diagnoses and types of patients include coronary procedures, interventional radiology procedures, and vascular procedures. Electrophysiology cases are not performed in this facility. The technologist will scrub, monitor, and circulate cases. Experience in scrub roles and knowledge of imaging technologies is required. Familiarity with Cerner and Merge electronic medical record systems is important. The cardiology team provides coverage evenings and weekends with a total of 10 days per month on STEMI divert. Interventional radiology call coverage is also 10 days per month with the presence of only one IR provider. The manager and charge nurse roles will be fulfilled by designated clinical staff. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. On-call responsibilities are required during weeknights and every third weekend. The response time for on-call is 30 minutes. Occasional duties may include providing a 1:1 sitter for patients. Scrubs will be provided by the facility in light blue color. Unit-specific training will be assigned on the first day and must be completed within the first week. All clinicians are required to clock in and out while on duty.
