I&C SuperintendentJob Summary This role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure the seamless integration of building automation and utility systems that support 24-hour manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, exceptional leadership, and a proactive approach to managing complex projects in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems across the facility. Collaborate with engineers to develop alternative designs and resolve field installation and commissioning issues efficiently. Interface with facilities operations and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth turnover of completed utility processes, addressing any outstanding punch list items. Read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to support installation and troubleshooting activities. Support troubleshooting, upgrades, and new installations by consulting manuals, circuit diagrams, and schematics. Install control and measurement instruments on existing or new equipment, working on projects throughout the facility. Manage field activities, including working at heights using lifts and ladders, and perform equipment troubleshooting independently. Maintain a positive attitude and uphold high work ethics aligned with company goals and safety standards. Requirements 5+ years of experience as an Instrumentation & Controls technician in industrial, commercial, or R&D environments. Technical degree or trade school certification in Electrical or Instrumentation preferred. Strong understanding of wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID schematics. Knowledge of motor controls, drives, and electronic components. Experience with low voltage electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC. Familiarity with networking and telecommunication wiring. Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling tools such as MS Project or P6. Ability to work collaboratively across teams, work hands-on, and manage open-ended projects in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all management levels. Willingness to work in field conditions, including operating lifts and using power and hand tools. Well-organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and resourceful in planning and executing work.
