State Farm ArenaZero Waste Sorter – Part TimeShifts available: 10 PM to 6 AM (hours vary based off events)Pay Rate: $19.00 an hourBASIC FUNCTIONPritchard Sports & Entertainment Group is seeking to hire a Zero Waste SorterAs the Zero-Waste Squad Sorter you are responsible for collecting, sorting, and disposing of waste generated in the State Farm Arena. The Arena is a zero-waste venue, and the Zero-Waste Squad Sorter is responsible for ensuring this. We need Sorters that are in alignment with the Arena’s zero-waste vision. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES • Hand-sort waste • Separate items into their various streams: (1) landfill, (2) compostable (food/drink, food packaging, cutlery, etc.), (3) bottles and cans, (4) cardboard, (5) mixed paper, (6) glass, and so on. • New hires will learn the process during their training. • The sorting team must open every item within every trash bag before separating waste items into the various streams. Fans tend to consolidate all their trash into a bag or a box. • Each shift is responsible for completing a mandatory checklist before team members leave. The shift duration depends on sorting effectiveness/efficiency and event attendance. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment (up to 200 lbs.). • Hand-sort waste • Ability to work a non-standard schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. • Punctual and reliable communicator. • Positive attitude and consistent motivation to work. • Sorters must keep contamination rates low. • Take direction from Hawks, Pritchard, and Levy employees • Work well with all departments • Bilingual (English and Spanish) encouraged Pritchard Industries participates in E-Verify. #LI-DNI Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
