Previous surgical experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Local candidates will not be accepted. A radius rule of 50 miles applies for candidates. COVID-19 vaccination is not required. Flu vaccination is required with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only. The candidate must have previous charge experience preferred. Familiarity with a charting system is preferred. The daily census in the unit averages around 18 patients. The unit has a total of 24 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. The candidate should be skilled in telemetry, post-operative care, IV management, wound care, and patient education. Compliance with health and safety regulations is mandatory. Additional testing, including fit testing, may be required. Travelers who have worked permanently in the past 24 months will not be considered. All requests for time-off must be included in submission documents. The unit operates under a zero-tolerance policy for THC. Medical marijuana cards are not accepted. Candidates must be prepared to work during assigned holidays as per policy.
