Assignment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel RN) Unit: Surgery (Operating Room / Perioperative Department) Start Date: March 23, 2026 End Date: March 22, 2027 Duration: 52 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM (12-hour day shifts) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $2010 Required Qualifications (OR RN / Perioperative Nurse) Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California Perioperative or Operating Room experience; at least 1 year of recent OR experience required Certification in Surgery / Perioperative Nursing preferred (CNOR or RN Surgery preferred) Current BLS certification (AHA preferred) Completion of onboarding health and competency requirements (immunizations, drug screen, and background check) Strong communication, teamwork, and sterile technique skills Responsibilities (Operating Room RN / Surgical Nurse) Provide direct perioperative patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures Assist surgeons and surgical teams as a circulating or scrub nurse in the operating room Maintain and monitor a sterile field and ensure patient safety and infection control at all times Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and respond appropriately Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (anesthesia, PACU, surgical techs) to deliver high-quality perioperative care This position is ideal for perioperative nurses, operating room RNs, and travel nurses seeking California nursing jobs in the Los Angeles area.
