The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD) is looking for a full-time IT Cybersecurity Specialist (CUSTSPT/SYSADMIN) to serve as an Information Technology Specialist (Product Owner/Product Manager), GG-2210-13 to work for the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (AFLCMC/HNCO) Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007. In this position you will serve as the AFLCMC/HNCO Product Owner/Product Manager responsible for providing a wide range of IT services tailored to support DevOps pipelines for Joint cyber capability software development, and GitOps-enabled ephemeral infrastructure automation for the cyberspace system development environment. Additionally, the position requires advanced knowledge and skill in the development, use and sustainment of IT systems and is considered an advanced IT user. The ideal candidate is both highly technical and a highly effective leader, able to communicate equally well with cyber developers/operators, and senior leaders at USCYBERCOM. Must be able to manage their own time in a dynamic and fast paced environment, manage work prioritization and requirements translation for at least two teams of developers, and be comfortable speaking in front of large crowds of people.. Qualifications/Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance This position is designated by the Air Force as a testing designated position under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program and is subject to random drug testing. Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) systems analysis and applications software concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate new and emerging IT security methods and principles, the feasibility of proposed new systems and applications software projects; and to design, write, test, debug, and maintain information systems and applications software and ensure successful integration with existing and anticipated infrastructure in the cyber weapon system environment. Knowledge of operational activities, including special operations, personnel recovery, airlift, other weapon systems, command, control, mission process, systems, and applications. Knowledge of IT management information systems and applications software technology to isolate causes of problems between hardware, system, and applications software programs and to measure system performance, evaluate risk, and/or extend weapon system capabilities to support organizational business processes and operations. Knowledge of IT management information systems requirements and application software development techniques required in carrying out project assignments of considerable difficulty and with little specificity regarding approach to be followed. Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances and predict how management can meet future requirements. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization. This position is Acquisition Category IT, Level II and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position. This position requires information assurance (IA) work as an additional duty. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the recipient of this additional duty must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in the reassignment of this additional duty to another employee within the organization.
