Automation & Controls Technician - Day Shift

About the Role Morris & Dickson is seeking an Automation & Controls Technician to support both our warehouse automation systems and Coldtainer temperature-controlled equipment used in our distribution operations. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated warehouse systems and temperature-controlled equipment to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and protect product integrity in our pharmaceutical distribution environment. What You'll Do Automation & Warehouse Systems Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on conveyors, robotics, sortation systems, and other automated equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using schematics and diagnostic tools Repair or replace components to ensure optimal system performance Support system upgrades and improvements in collaboration with engineering and technology teams Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment history Cold Chain Equipment (Coldtainer Units) Inspect and maintain Coldtainer temperature-controlled units used in the distribution center and delivery vehicles Troubleshoot electrical components, sensors, switches, and charging systems Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters to identify and resolve equipment issues Coordinate vendor repairs when needed and ensure equipment remains operational Safety & Compliance Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements Ensure all maintenance work meets safety, operational, and quality standards What Success Looks Like You keep our automation systems running reliably, quickly diagnosing and repairing issues to minimize downtime and keep operations moving. You take a proactive approach to maintenance, spotting potential problems early and helping improve equipment performance and reliability. You work safely and collaboratively, partnering with operations and engineering teams while following safety standards and best practices. The pay range for this role is: 26 - 30 USD per hour (2 - Distribution Center)
