Respiratory Therapist

Candidate MUST have certification RRT • Team player • Preferred candidate have NICU experience • Must be registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care • Current license - Respiratory Therapist State of Michigan • BLS • Patients o If working ICU could have possibly 6 beds (can vary) o If working in treatment 1 to 20 patients (can vary) • Schedule o 3 days a week o 12-hour shift - 7pm -730am Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients. Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients. Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs. Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned. Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information. null Required Skills & Experience: -Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience. Required Education: -Associate of Science Degree, from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program. Preferred Education: -Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy preferred. Required Certification & Licensure: -Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care. -Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan. -BLS
