Full Stack Java Engineer

Introduction We are seeking a seasoned engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex, scalable applications. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who believes that automation and robust tooling are the backbone of a healthy software lifecycle. You will work within a collaborative environment, leveraging microservices and cloud-based infrastructure to deliver high-quality solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years in a professional programming role. Deep knowledge of UI technologies; expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and React is highly preferred (Angular experience also valued). Strong experience building robust applications with Java (strongly preferred), though expertise in .NET, C , or Python is acceptable. Hands-on experience modeling data in Postgres and/or Cassandra. Proven familiarity with microservices and server-side technologies. Experience building and scaling on cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity querying and managing search engines like OpenSearch or SOLR. Prior work experience in the industry. Applicants must be able to work directly for the company on W2. Preferred Skills & Qualifications A natural aptitude for independently picking up new technologies and staying ahead of industry trends. A collaborative, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills. Familiarity with digital media formats or the media supply chain is a significant plus. A firm belief that manual processes are bugs; you prioritize automation and tooling in every project. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Design and implement responsive, high-performance UI components using modern frameworks. Build and maintain scalable server-side logic and APIs. Design and optimize data schemas in both relational and NoSQL databases. Deploy and manage applications within cloud-based environments, ensuring high availability and performance. Implement and optimize search functionalities using engines like OpenSearch or SOLR. Advocate for and implement automation, testing, and CI/CD tooling to streamline the software lifecycle.
