Job Details Position: Nurse Manager (House Supervisor) - Night Shift (Travel Nurse Manager / Night Shift Nurse Manager) Location: Canton, Ohio (44710) - Stark County; Canton nursing jobs, Ohio nursing jobs Employment Type: Travel, On-Site Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (with potential for extension) Start Date: March 30, 2026 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Ohio RN preferred (Compact RN license accepted if applicable) BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired) - clinical leadership or charge nurse experience preferred Previous leadership, charge nurse, or unit coordinator experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills; experience with staffing coordination and performance management Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and quality improvement initiatives is a plus Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and supervise nursing staff, including RNs, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) Act as House Supervisor during night shift: oversee unit operations, patient flow, and escalation of clinical issues Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the EMR Promote patient and employee safety by enforcing hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, discharge planning, and bedside handoffs to maintain continuity of care Provide direction, training, and mentorship to ancillary staff and orientees; delegate tasks appropriately Foster a positive, efficient, and team-oriented work environment focused on staff retention and professional development Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvement, quality assurance, and professional growth Communicate effectively with physicians, case management, staff, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care Perform other duties as assigned to support unit operations and patient outcomes Take the next step in your nursing leadership career and make a meaningful impact in a supportive and thriving Canton community.
