Schedule 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM, 2 out of 3 weekends, block scheduling available. Job Description The Registered Nurse manages, organizes, and administers nursing care for patients of all ages under the supervision of the Physician. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as PMHC policies, is a condition of employment. ResponsibilitiesAssess data regarding the patient's physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs based on the patient's age and development. Report and document all observed symptoms, reactions, and changes in the patient's condition. Utilize the nursing process to direct and deliver patient care, developing, implementing, revising, and evaluating a formal plan of care. Administer medications using the Five Rights of Medication Administration. Provide and instruct patients and/or their families with educational information appropriate for age and learning abilities. Create and maintain a comfortable and safe environment for patients, families, and visitors. Organize and prioritize daily assignments to provide optimal patient care. Maintain patient and employee confidentiality at all times. Comply with PMHC Code of Conduct. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureBachelor's degree (B.S.N.), Associate's degree (A.D.N.), or Diploma from an accredited college of nursing. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification. Current NRP certification (for RNs assigned to the Obstetrics Department).
