Event Manager The Resort at Longboat Key Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Manager to join our team in Longboat Key, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events while ensuring exceptional guest experiences that reflect the luxury and exclusivity of our resort. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage all types of events including weddings, corporate meetings, social gatherings, and special occasions. Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and deliver personalized service. Coordinate with internal departments such as catering, housekeeping, and operations to ensure seamless event execution. Develop event budgets and manage expenses to maximize profitability. Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and relationships and sales leads. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations during events. Handle any issues or emergencies during events promptly and professionally. Maintain detailed records of events, client communications, and feedback. Requirements Minimum of 3 years in event planning or similar role, preferably within the hospitality or resort industry. Previous experience working in a 4 or 5-star property Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field is preferred. Sales-Force operating system experience preferred Must have a clean driving record.
