FSQA Manager – Meat Processing Industry Salary: $125,000 – $135,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package Position Summary The FSQA Manager is responsible for leading all Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs within a meat processing facility. This role ensures compliance with USDA/FSIS, FSMA regulations, HACCP requirements, and customer quality standards while driving continuous improvement across production, sanitation, and food safety systems. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all plant-wide food safety and quality systems from raw material receiving through finished product shipment Maintain and implement HACCP, HARPC, GMPs, allergen control, sanitation, environmental monitoring, and food defense programs Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including labeling and traceability Lead internal audits, third-party audits, and SQF certification efforts Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence Direct product recall readiness, microbiological testing, and continuous improvement initiatives Train and support production teams on food safety, quality standards, and regulatory expectations Supervise and develop QC/QA staff to achieve performance and quality metrics Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (5–7+ years) in FSQA leadership within food manufacturing Strong preference for experience in meat or protein processing environments Expertise in HACCP, FSMA, SQF, sanitation, and regulatory compliance Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and drive accountability Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Work Environment This role requires time spent in both office and production areas, including refrigerated and cold-storage environments.
