Human Resources Generalist Fox Rent A Car is seeking a highly capable Human Resources Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment and plays a key role in supporting HR operations across the organization. This position works closely with HR Business Partners and leadership to support designated regions and corporate functions. The role is deeply involved in day-to-day HR operations while also supporting compliance, reporting, employee relations, benefits, and HR systems. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. In This Role, You Will: HR Operations & Employee Support Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Maintain organizational charts, employee directories, and HR-related resources. Participate in department initiatives, goals, and projects, and assist in evaluating HR programs and recommending improvements. Employee Relations Assist with employee relations matters, including intake, documentation, and follow-up. Provide guidance and support in handling employee concerns, conflict resolution, and performance-related matters. Support HR leadership with investigations and ensure consistent application of policies and procedures. Conduct exit interviews and support ongoing employee engagement efforts, including recognition programs. Benefits & Leave Administration Support benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, open enrollment, employee communications, claims resolution, and vendor coordination. Assist with leave-of-absence processes, tracking, and documentation. Support HR leadership with benefits renewals by gathering data and required information. HRIS, Reporting & Data Management (Workday) Maintain and update HRIS records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Process HR transactions within Workday and other systems, and assist with troubleshooting as needed. Generate standard and ad hoc reports and support data analysis for HR and business needs. Maintain records and reporting required for compliance, including EEO-1 reporting and other regulatory requirements. Compliance, Audits & Regulatory Support Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist with Workers' Compensation tracking and documentation. Maintain required records, logs, and documentation to support audits and regulatory compliance. Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting requirements. Gather and analyze data for audits, assist with audit calculations, and support audit-related requests. Work closely with the Director of Compliance and internal partners to track and maintain permits, licenses, and required certifications across multiple locations. Operational & Cross-Functional Support Support compliance-related initiatives tied to operational requirements, including airport and location-specific regulations. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to support compliance programs, including tracking certified vendors where required. Review and track safety-related documentation and reporting, including monthly safety checklists. Assist with processing compliance-related expenses, including invoices and required documentation through internal systems. Partner with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment across HR and compliance processes. Additional Responsibilities Participate in administrative meetings and support HR projects and initiatives as needed. Assist with evaluating HR programs and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: 35 years of Human Resources experience in a generalist or HR operations role Hands-on experience with Workday is required Experience supporting multi-location or multi-state environments preferred Strong knowledge of employee relations practices and employment law Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience HR certification (SHRM-CP or equivalent) preferred Must be authorized to work in the United States We offer: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401k, Employee Discounts, Referral bonus Company-paid Life Insurance Company-paid AD&D Insurance Flexible spending account Parental leave Employee assistance program We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
