The work you will do: Federal Bill Coordinator Project Cost & Federal Projects Section General Accounting Office Chief Finance & Administration Officer This position will supervise and process the weekly federal bill to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Federal funding is a significant source of revenue for FDOT and provides resources for ongoing projects. Where you will work: General Accounting Office 605 Suwannee St. Tallahassee, Florida Anticipated bi-weekly salary: $2,816.01 Your specific responsibilities: Supervises employees by spending the majority of their time communicating regularly, motivating, training, evaluating, planning and directing employees' work. Supervises and directs professional staff in conducting analyses related to federal reimbursement of eligible projects from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Leads and reconciles participating costs for federal reimbursement through the weekly current bills. Ensures eligible project expenditures are both correct and complete in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 23, 2 CFR 200 "The Super-circular" and other related federal and state laws and guidelines. Completes and reviews quarterly quality assurance reviews for the current bill and develops draft reports for internal and external customers. The successful candidate will have the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of: Generally accepted accounting principles, practices and procedures. Computer accounting systems analysis or design. Techniques of systems analysis and design. Structured analysis techniques. Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other PC based software. Process Analysis concepts and flowcharting techniques. Ability to: Supervise employees including communicating regularly, motivating, training, evaluating, planning, and directing employees' work. Design systems logic and/or process information logically. Identify and define user task needs and/or conduct short- and long-range project planning studies. Prepare functional program specifications for technical accounting applications. Analyze and interpret computer-related accounting data and resolve system production problems. Plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments. Accurately estimate time requirements for accounting system development projects. Communicate technical accounting information effectively to technical data processing personnel. Work independently. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
