Accounting Associate University of Colorado Foundation Denver Metro Organization type: Nonprofit Type of role: Full-time Job Category: Finance Hourly: $24.56 - $28.89 Reports To: Accounting Manager Hiring Salary Range: $51,085 $60,100 FLSA Status: Non-exempt Position Status: Full Time in a Hybrid Workplace Posting Dates: Open until filled. For best consideration, apply by March 3rd Job Summary This position is responsible for general accounting support for the Finance and Accounting team through directly assigned tasks and ad hoc responsibilities as necessary. General tasks include accounts payable, fund processing, and inbox tasks management. Essential Duties Deliver exceptional customer service. Provide customer support to internal and external contacts regarding complex and high-level questions. May at times require consultation with other team members. Manage accounting inquiries and run basic reports within the accounting system. Perform weekly accounts payable procedures. Create, modify, and close gift funds in the general ledger and donor database. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal controls. Assist Senior Accountant with research of reconciliation differences and provide backup. Continually document processes and recommend improvements for all assigned duties. Create custom reports on demand to meet business needs of internal and external customers. Assist with auditor requests. Perform other related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position. Education/Experience Required: Proficient user of technology, particularly Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat. Preferred: 0-3 years of accounting/finance experience Associate Degree in accounting, finance, business or data systems and/or equivalent life, military and/or professional experience CPA license GAAP and non-profit accounting knowledge preferred. Software and Equipment Utilized Microsoft Office Products; Adobe Acrobat; Monday.com; Zoom; Slack; Docusign Salesforce; Fundriver Blackbaud's Financial Edge; Cognos; Authorize.net Working Environment Hybrid schedule Work in an office environment requiring light physical effort by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently with or without accommodations Stationary at a desk for most of the day, working with standard office equipment (such as phone, copier/scanner, and personal computer) with or without accommodations. Benefits Compensation package The hiring salary range for this position is: $51,085 $60,100. Starting salary is based on education, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
