Job Overview: The Saw Operator will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of equipment used in cutting stainless steel and nickel alloys according to precise customer specifications. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain the bar saw machine, ensuring production quality, accuracy of logs, and adherence to specifications. Conduct routine maintenance and assist with repairs as necessary. Monitor machine consumables and manage scrap removal effectively. Utilize specified materials and programs while coordinating any changes with production control. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to uphold cutting tolerances and quality standards. Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and utilizing required protective equipment. Organize and control the storage of bar inventory within the plant. Keep the workspace neat and orderly, ensuring all tools are stored properly. Maintain cleanliness in your section and assist with additional tasks as assigned by management. Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Proficient in reading and writing English. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Desired Skills: Strong attention to detail. A collaborative team player. Basic computer and software skills. Experience: At least 1 year operating a plate or bar saw. At least 1 year of experience with overhead crane operation. At least 1 year operating a forklift. Additional Training: Knowledge of math and statistics. Pay Range: $20 - $24 per hour based on experience. Compensation details: $20-24 Hourly Wage
