Job Description

The Product & Capability Manager is responsible for the development, evaluation, and implementation of supporting products and capabilities. The individual helps define the product strategy by gathering and prioritizing product, market and competitive requirements, as well as working with sales/brokers and internal resources to successfully articulate product/portfolio recommendations and direction. Responsible for the development, evaluation, and implementation of supporting products and capabilities Helps define the product strategy by gathering and prioritizing product, market and competitive requirements, as well as working with sales/brokers and internal resources to successfully articulate product/portfolio recommendations and direction. Manages adhoc and corporate projects. Work closely with the Sr. Products Mgrs, Actuarial, Underwriting and Sales in defining the product or capability strategy by market segment. Provides in-depth market, customer and competitive analysis to help guide product positioning by market or customer. Supports the ideation, prioritization and evaluation of new product opportunities. Guides product implementation and management process to enable the product within the organization. Support positioning and messaging, develop content and positioning for product, including sales, collateral and training . Analyze/recommend potential third-party relationships as appropriate to support the product. Ensure product and capability goals are achieved. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, related field or equivalent work experience. 5+ years in insurance industry experience in areas of Product Development, Product Management, Health Care Management or related field. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Advanced analytical, presentation and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization. Self-starter, effective at prioritizing tasks and managing expectations Strong project management skills Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania IBX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
