THE OPPORTUNITY As a Culinary Team Leader, you will master the art of preparing delicious food, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables. You will be responsible for ensuring our dishes are absolutely mouthwatering, ordering supplies, and providing training to develop future Culinary Team Leaders. The Culinary Team Leader plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of Chipotle's food. They maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen while ensuring that equipment is in optimal condition. Central to this position is the promotion of teamwork and the delivery of an exceptional customer experience. While on duty, Culinary Team Leaders remain active on their feet, achieving their station’s objectives, addressing necessary tasks, and assisting teammates. WHAT YOU'LL DO Follow Chipotle's policies and procedures, while embracing a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: Guaranteeing food quality by cooking and preparing to order, and adhering to kitchen procedures. Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, addressing food quality challenges. Fostering a strong teamwork culture between the back-of-house and front-of-house Crew. Mentoring Crew members to develop their skills as future Culinary Team Leaders. Communicating effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure excellent customer service and efficiency. Maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment. Overseeing kitchen equipment to ensure proper maintenance and prompt repairs on any malfunctioning tools. Ensuring that both the kitchen and Crew members adhere to necessary safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Completing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and managing Inventory Rotation (FIFO). WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE Ability to understand and communicate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy. Proficiency in speaking, writing, and understanding the primary language(s) of the work environment. Completion of a high school diploma. Prior restaurant experience.
