The Onchain Foundations team within the Coinbase Consumer app is dedicated to developing the technology that empowers customers to interact directly with DeFi and other onchain functionalities within the Coinbase interface. This team innovates products that enable users to Earn (Lend), Borrow, and Trade (DEX trading) seamlessly, connecting transactions across Coinbase's centralized exchange and onchain protocols to enhance existing experiences and create new product opportunities. Key Responsibilities Lead a product area from conception through execution, focusing on vision, strategy, and timely delivery. Develop and drive a long-term vision for Coinbase's onchain product experiences, guiding projects from initial concepts to successful launch. Set objectives and key results (OKRs) for various teams while fostering cross-functional collaboration to meet targets. Identify and track key metrics (both quantitative and qualitative) for new and existing product areas, using insights to shape the roadmap and prioritize tasks. Manage stakeholder expectations and prioritize effectively to keep momentum on the most impactful projects. Facilitate seamless onchain/offchain transactions, enhancing products and experiences by connecting Coinbase’s centralized exchange with onchain protocols. Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams at Coinbase Retail, working with blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and Coinbase's internal exchange infrastructure to create elegant solutions for complex onchain/offchain interactions. What We Look For 5+ years of experience in Product Management. A strong understanding of technical systems with a genuine empathy for developers. Robust project management skills across diverse teams. Excellent consumer product judgment, translating developer capabilities into outstanding customer experiences. A strong enthusiasm for cryptocurrency, financial markets, and Coinbase's mission. Preferred Qualifications Innovative ideas regarding onchain/offchain transactions and flows. Experience in creating reusable or developer-centered tools (APIs, SDKs, protocols). A background in developing onchain ecosystems with developers, creators, or consumers. A pre-existing network within crypto communities. Exposure to crypto, especially familiarity with onchain actions (e.g., interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, engaging with dApps/blockchain services). Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position ranges from $180,370 to $212,200 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also provide eligibility for bonuses, equity, and benefits (such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
