Join Oracle as a Senior Solution Engineer Overview Oracle is on the lookout for a Senior Solution Engineer to bolster our Utilities sector, emphasizing Asset Technology and Analytics. This opportunity is within our presales organization, where you will guide utility clients in understanding, evaluating, and integrating Oracle's asset-focused solutions, particularly Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS). Your role is pivotal in fostering operational excellence, reliability, and data-driven decision-making. This position is client-facing and demands extensive domain knowledge in utility asset management, robust technical insight, and the capability to convert intricate business problems into compelling solution architectures. Key Responsibilities Act as the presales expert for Oracle Utilities asset solutions, including Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS), Asset Lifecycle Management, and asset-centric analytics. Collaborate with sales, product management, and delivery teams to define and implement solution strategies that align with customer goals. Lead customer discovery sessions to assess asset operations, maintenance strategies, regulatory needs, and data challenges. Create and present engaging solution demonstrations, presentations, and proofs of concept that highlight Oracle's value proposition. Promote Oracle Analytics, AI/ML, and data insights regarding asset performance, reliability, risks, and capital planning. Prepare responses to RFPs, RFIs, and technical due diligence inquiries with clear, credible, and unique solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor to utility executives, asset managers, operations leaders, and IT stakeholders. Keep abreast of industry trends, asset management standards, and new technologies affecting the utility landscape. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in utility asset management, solution consulting, presales engineering, or similar roles. Hands-on experience with utility asset solutions such as Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud (WACS), EAM systems, or equivalent platforms. In-depth understanding of utility asset sectors (electric, gas, water, or wastewater), including work management, maintenance, inspections, and capital program strategies. Experience in positioning analytics, reporting, and data platforms for asset performance and operational insights. Demonstrated capability to explain complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Adept at navigating a dynamic, matrixed sales environment. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications Prior exposure to Oracle Utilities solutions or participation in the Oracle partner ecosystem. Experience with cloud-based SaaS solutions, enterprise architecture, and integration strategies. Experience catering to large enterprise or regulated utility clientele.
