Title: Network Specialist/ NOC Analyst Location: Remote - Occasional onsite work for testing/ as needed in New Albany, OH Schedule: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm (On call Sat-Sun rotation every 6 weeks) Compensation: $28-32/hr. Summary : Under the direction of the operations manager, Network Support Specialist is an IT-focused role that is responsible for executing daily responsibilities related to incident management, device monitoring, network troubleshooting, application support, and upgrade project implementation and deployment. An emphasis is placed on assisting in the monitoring and support of the clients core software and hardware applications. This is a role that demands building strong working relationships with all technical support teams. Responsibilities: • Monitoring and support of the store WAN infrastructure (1,100 stores, domestic and international offices) • Function as a Jr. Incident Manager in support of high priority incidents • Monitoring and support for store and corporate office network hardware (Domestically and Internationally) • Monitoring and support of core applications • Monitoring and support of the wireless network, SAN and VOIP systems • Monitoring and incident management of client Data Centers, Labs, Storage Facilities, and Disaster Recovery Facilities What Do You Need To Bring? • Preferred 4 Year degree in an IT related field • Experience with Windows OS • Familiarity with Linux based systems and hardware • Must be able to communicate effectively with highly technical associates and executives • Knowledge of mainframe operations (MVS) and/or Oracle Batch processes a plus • Experience troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper network equipment • Technical Services experience in Retail environment a plus • Ability to navigate technical issues and evaluate risk • Ability to lead and direct the work of others Minimum Qualifications: • Preferred 4 Year degree in an IT related field Apex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
