Your Role: As a Maintenance Technician III, you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our Fulfillment Center. You will conduct preventative and on-demand maintenance on various equipment including electrical motors, material handling machinery, welding and electrical testing tools, as well as perform general conveyor and building maintenance. Your responsibilities will also include light plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other maintenance tasks as required. You will uphold our safety priorities, fostering a culture of safe work practices every day. Your expertise will support the Staples Supply Chain in our goals to serve our customers effectively. What You Bring: Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and the ability to read blueprints/schematics, including electrical diagrams. Experience troubleshooting complex electrical/electronic systems, including high and low voltage challenges. Capability to use vendor manuals for preventative maintenance and repairs. Willingness to be trained on and certified to operate powered material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to building positive relationships with colleagues and customers. Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Adaptability to safety procedures and practices. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. Ability to pass a drug screen in accordance with legal regulations. Basic English language skills (verbal and written). Availability for overtime as needed based on business demands. Able to work at heights of up to 60 feet. Must manage physical demands including lifting boxes/merchandise weighing 70 to 100 pounds.
