Sales Tax Compliance Manager

Our State and Local Tax team is seeking a Sales Tax Compliance Manager with expertise in Sales & Use Tax Compliance and Reporting. This role offers flexibility with onsite/hybrid options available, particularly from our Atlanta or Alpharetta offices. As a Sales Tax Compliance Manager, you will: Provide compliance expertise while collaborating with partners, senior managers, staff, and clients. Contribute to practice and business development activities. Supervise and mentor staff across the firm. Your primary responsibilities will include: Client Service: Interact expertly with clients to enhance service delivery. Project/Task Management: Oversee a variety of sales tax projects, managing multiple client projects simultaneously, and ensuring timely completion. Implementation of SALT Initiatives: Assist in identifying efficiency-based SALT initiatives across the practice and collaborate with partners to expand client services. Communication of SALT Developments: Stay updated on current developments and analyze new legislation affecting multi-state taxation. Personal and Professional Development: Cultivate relationships with clients and colleagues, pursue ongoing professional education, and participate in training programs. What you will bring to this role: A Bachelor's degree in business; CPA or CMI certification preferred. At least 5 years of progressive experience in State and Local Tax compliance within a large public accounting firm or industry. Familiarity with sales tax software such as Vertex, Avalara ARA, or MRA. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with Alteryx is a plus. Salary Range: $103,900 to $161,600, based on experience and qualifications.
