Job Description Pay Range: $26.50 - $30.00 DOE I. Job Summary As a Residential CDL Truck Driver, you will operate heavy-duty trucks equipped with various lift attachments to transport waste and recyclable materials. Your primary responsibility is to provide reliable pick-up service for residential containers, which may weigh over 1,000 pounds. You'll navigate through busy, residential areas and perform skilled backing maneuvers. Your ability to manage high-traffic situations and tight spaces is crucial for this role. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate vehicles in compliance with safety regulations, including Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements. Conduct thorough pre and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and maintain accurate documentation using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). Report any unsafe conditions or service-related issues immediately to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. Participate actively in all training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by management. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices. Notify the Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Communicate service interruptions, including closed streets or any safety hazards to the appropriate parties. Ensure all receptacles are completely emptied and customer locations remain clean. Follow assigned routes, completing documentation and end-of-day checkout processes accurately. Assist fellow drivers as needed to meet customer demands. III. Qualifications A. Required Qualifications 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years. Must be at least 18 years of age. Legally eligible to work in the country where this position is located. Possess a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License with an air-brake endorsement. B. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (accredited). IV. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, pull, crouch, reach, handle, sit, talk, and hear. The expected base pay range for this position is $26.50 - $30.00. The exact salary offered to the selected candidate may vary based on their experience, education, and work location. V.
