About the Role As an Occupational Therapist Evaluation Specialist at Maximus, you will utilize your clinical expertise to assess how an individual's health condition or disability affects their everyday activities. You will be involved with complex cases addressing both physical and mental health challenges, including chronic pain, applying your compassion and knowledge to help clients lead more enriching lives. Your experience will begin with an extensive training program designed to equip you for success. You'll receive 6 weeks of thorough training before starting assessments, along with ongoing support and mentoring throughout your journey with us. Key Responsibilities Conduct assessments through telephone, video, or in-person interactions to evaluate each individual's daily life impact from their disabilities or health conditions. Create comprehensive reports that aid the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining benefit eligibility. Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision. Qualifications Current HCPC registration number. At least 1 year of relevant post-registration experience in the NHS or other healthcare environments. Right to work in the UK; note that we cannot offer sponsorship. Outstanding oral and written communication capabilities. Skilled in using computer software for report compilation.
