Then the South Carolina Department of Social Services has the right job opportunity for you. Job Duties:The Fiscal Technician II performs accounting functions for the SC Voucher program. Responsibilities include processing financial transactions, maintaining and reconciling accounting systems, coordinating with other agencies and external vendors, and executing banking operations. Interprets and applies policies and procedures for the SC Voucher program Reviews child care documentation, including Service Voucher Logs (SVLs), to ensure accuracy and completeness in determining vendor payment eligibility for both electronic and paper invoices. Conducts research to resolve program payment inquiries and coordinates with the State Treasurer's Office to initiate stop payments. Investigates outstanding checks issued to childcare providers, submits stop payment requests, and ensures funds are reissued as appropriate. Communicates procedures and next steps to providers regarding stop payments and fund reissuance. Manages the SVL Aging Report and proactively contacts providers regarding outstanding SVLs. Ensures timely submission of documentation to facilitate payments and prevent expiration of services or funds. Digitizes all paper documents related to childcare payables to ensure accurate imaging and easy retrieval for compliance with audit requirements. Manages daily incoming mail, including retrieving mail from the mail room and lobby drop box. Reviews, sorts, and distributes mail appropriately. Ensures provider SVLs received via the lobby drop box are processed the same day by entering data into the online system. Reviews and prints provider adjustments entered by Control staff. Assists with processing requests from Control staff to purge provider SVLs. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements A High School Diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or commercial lending.
