Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor

Number of Positions: 1 (Part-time - up to 19 hours per week) Salary: $38.68 per hour Location: Southern Adirondack Education Center, Hudson Falls & various locations based upon clinical/laboratory rotations Work Hours: Thursday & Friday; 6:45-3:45 Promote a positive learning environment with an emphasis on patient/student safety and compliance that meets national & NYS accrediting agency standards. Exhibit professional behavior and communication that serve as a positive role model for students. Plans for students' laboratory and/or clinical instruction on a weekly basis following the established and NYS Office of Professions-approved curriculum & learning objectives. Complete weekly clinical evaluations and systematic observations and timely feedback to the student according to the WSWHE BOCES Practical Nursing program, clinical curriculum expectations, and facility standards. Consistently demonstrate comprehensive clinical judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving knowledge & skills to model, create, and scaffold clinical experiences to enable students to master clinical learning objectives. Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge and skills through continuing education and professional development opportunities. Perform clinical instructional supervisory responsibilities thoroughly and consistently to ensure students are actively engaged in developing the expected professional competencies while working in clinical instructional settings.
