The Lead IT Audit Specialist is responsible for the development, planning, and evaluation of internal audit programs for our information systems and related procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. This role involves tackling moderately complex to complex issues, analyzing data and situations in detail. You will report directly to the IT Internal Audit Manager. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to assessing and strengthening our cybersecurity, technology governance, and emerging technology risks. Working in a large, diverse, and technically advanced environment, you will evaluate complex systems and rapidly evolving technologies to ensure effective design and operation of controls, aligned with our strategic objectives. As the Lead IT Audit Specialist, your responsibilities will include: Conducting IT audits and cybersecurity-focused consulting engagements, evaluating application, infrastructure, and cloud environments, adhering to established methodologies and timelines. Executing IT audit procedures including planning, walkthroughs, control testing, data analysis, and documentation of findings in complex environments requiring significant technical judgment. Applying professional IT audit concepts and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF) while employing standard audit techniques such as control testing and risk assessment. Reviewing and analyzing IT, security, and operational data to uncover control gaps, technology risks, and vulnerabilities focusing on cybersecurity and technology operations. Auditing and evaluating cybersecurity controls across diverse technology landscapes, including cloud platforms, identity and access management, and network architectures. Assessing emerging risks related to AI/ML technologies, cloud transitions, data governance, and evolving threat landscapes. Identifying control weaknesses and vulnerabilities, preparing clear, actionable audit issues that communicate impact and risk alignment. Recommending security-focused improvements to mitigate identified risks. Communicating IT audit and cybersecurity engagement results through well-written reports and presentations, translating technical risks into business-relevant insights. Leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance audit processes and improve documentation practices for departmental adoption. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT risk audit, consulting, or operations focusing on systems, software development, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, or infrastructure. Preferably certified in IT audit (CISA, CISM, or CISSP), with certification required for promotion to leadership roles. Essential IT risk or assurance audit experience. Basic knowledge of AI concepts, including their impact on data integrity and cybersecurity. Ability to evaluate AI-enabled systems, focusing on algorithm transparency, data quality, and monitoring. Track record of facilitating cross-team collaboration and managing projects effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Team-oriented with a collaborative and optimistic attitude. Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Aptitude for building effective relationships across teams. Passionate about enhancing consumer experiences. Self-starter with the capacity to work independently and with minimal supervision. Travel may be required occasionally to our offices for training or meetings, although this is a remote position. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation: The estimated base pay for this full-time position ranges from $94,900 to $130,500 per year, varying based on geographic location and individual qualifications. This role is also eligible for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.
