Industry Management Consulting Type Privately Held About the Role We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Engineering for Electric Utilities Operations to lead our strategic growth initiatives. In this high-impact leadership role, you will be essential in expanding our client base, identifying new revenue opportunities, and fostering long-term partnerships with investor-owned utilities. Utilizing your strong technical expertise in substation design, protection/control systems, relay settings, and transmission line engineering, you will mentor our engineering team and significantly influence the company’s strategic direction. Your responsibilities will include developing robust systems, assembling high-performing teams, and implementing processes to ensure the highest quality in our engineering services. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will blend technical excellence with effective business leadership and team management. We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of engineering experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the utilities sector. Strong emotional intelligence will be vital as you focus on mentoring, communicating clearly, and enhancing team morale. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated business acumen, P&L management experience, and a successful track record in business development. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and be ready to embrace the challenge of leading a crucial growth area in a flexible, people-first work environment.
