Facilities Technician HTI is seeking a versatile facilities Technician for an immediate opportunity with our client in Wellford, SC. Pay Rate $22.00/hour Shift 1st Shift | 5:00AM - 2:00PM Position Overview As a Building Maintenance Assistant, you will perform all aspects of maintenance for the building, grounds, and equipment. This role requires someone who is versatile, reliable, and comfortable handling everything from building maintenance to general property upkeep. A strong hands-on background and practical "fix-it" skills are highly valued. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs to facility and grounds as needed Maintain, repair, and routinely service boiler and HVAC systems (including starting the boiler daily) Maintain, repair, and routinely service air compressors Perform minor plumbing repairs Empty trash and maintain cleanliness of facility and parking lot Complete simple repairs, minor painting, carpentry work, and light fixture repairs Handle general property upkeep - anything that occurs on-site requiring maintenance attention Responsible for securing/closing the building as required Coordinate with security company to maintain security and fire systems Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections Operate forklift safely in accordance with training Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas Ensure all tools are unplugged and properly stored at the end of each day Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Report defective tools or equipment to the Building Supervisor Qualifications Minimum of 2+ years of building maintenance experience preferred Experience in plumbing, electrical, and general repairs strongly preferred Electrical experience is a plus Mechanical aptitude and practical experience fixing a wide variety of issues Ability to handle both facility maintenance and general property upkeep Willing to train the right candidate with strong hands-on experience Forklift experience preferred Must be reliable and punctual for 5:00AM start time Strong commitment to safety and housekeeping standards Dependable work ethic and strong problem-solving skills Why Apply? $22/hour starting pay Stable first-shift schedule Opportunity to grow with a company willing to train the right person Hands-on role with diverse responsibilities Long-term potential #INDPRO
