Litigated Claims Expert - General Liability

The selected candidate will work on a hybrid schedule at one of our Zurich offices located in Parsippany, NJ; Atlanta, GA; Maitland, FL; Addison, TX; Schaumburg, IL; Overland Park, KS; Omaha, NE; or Rocky Hill, CT. Key Responsibilities: Manage and resolve high-exposure, multi-party commercial general liability claims from inception to completion with a commitment to quality and efficiency. Collaborate closely with internal and external counsel, underwriters, and risk professionals to achieve the best outcomes for our clients. Ensure transparent and timely communication with customers and stakeholders throughout the claims process. Adhere to regulatory standards and company protocols in all claims handling procedures. You will have the autonomy to handle your claims portfolio while contributing to Zurich's reputation for industry leadership and fostering customer trust. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years in Claims or Insurance experience OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an associate degree and 3+ years of Claims or Insurance experience OR Completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program with at least 2 years of Claims or Insurance experience OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance. Must hold and maintain required adjuster license(s). Strong understanding of insurance regulations, markets, and products. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in handling Commercial General Liability claims. 5+ years of expertise in litigation management. Experience working with an insurance carrier. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills. Proven ability to collaborate with teams and build cross-functional relationships. Skilled at explaining complex financial and actuarial concepts clearly. Proficiency in assessing the scope and exposure of complex claims. Expertise in reserving processes for indemnity and expenses. Ability to develop and implement effective negotiation strategies. Proficient at identifying nuances in customer and partner interactions. Adept at presenting claim resolution information effectively to stakeholders.
