Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and engineering roles. Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions within a plant environment. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures compliant with labor laws and manufacturing safety standards. Coordinate and deliver training programs focused on safety, compliance, and skills development for the production workforce. Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness within the manufacturing sector. Support workforce planning initiatives, including talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning for key operational roles. Collaborate with EHS to promote a safe working environment and manage workers' compensation claims effectively. Recommended QualificationsSignificant HR management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, HR best practices, and manufacturing-specific compliance (e.g., OSHA). Proven track record in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management for a diverse workforce. Expertise in talent acquisition and retention strategies for skilled production and hourly roles. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP/CP) highly preferred. Bonus QualificationsExperience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Prior experience managing HR in a unionized manufacturing environment. Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local manufacturing workforce. Familiarity with manufacturing-specific safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
