This pivotal role will position you as the lead civil, structural, and architectural estimator working closely with the Senior Estimating Manager on firm fixed-price pursuits. Key Responsibilities: Thoroughly read plans and specifications to understand RFP requirements related to Civil, Structural, and Architectural specifications. Analyze, quantify, and provide precise cost estimates for the scope of work, including Gilbane's General Requirements. Develop accurate labor crews and productivity metrics while contributing to project scheduling. Provide insightful solutions to designers in design-build projects focused on cost-efficiency. Draft effective Requests for Information (RFIs). Create and manage comprehensive bid packages. Engage civil, structural, and architectural subcontractors throughout the bidding process. Prepare and distribute C/S/A bid scope of work checklists. Collect and analyze competitive bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Recommend appropriate risk register values for the scope of work. Monitor and report on current material and labor prices, including any escalations. Identify and track long-lead material and equipment items. Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience. 7-10+ years of relevant experience. Experience in Federal construction programs is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in Lump Sum Bidding. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Expertise in Winest, On-Screen Take-off, and similar estimating software. Proficient in using basic Windows applications and tools like TEAMS and Zoom. Able to present estimations and clarify advantages in contractor choices effectively. Competent in conceptual estimates with limited information. Experience estimating diverse facility types including hospitals, hangars, offices, renovations, and more. Maintain strong professional relationships with industry partners to enhance estimating deliverables. Salary will be commensurate with education, experience, skills, and market data.
