The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the DeWitt region seeking Materials Managers. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategies for inventory optimization and control, ensuring material availability while minimizing holding costs. Manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain, including vendor selection, negotiation, and performance management. Coordinate material planning with production schedules to ensure timely delivery and prevent disruptions. Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and material issuance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Implement and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to forecast demand and manage material flow. Monitor and control material costs, identifying opportunities for savings and process improvements. Lead, mentor, and develop the materials management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Recommended Qualifications5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or operations within a manufacturing environment. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory control, forecasting, and production planning. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to optimize inventory levels and improve material flow. Bonus QualificationsAPICS CPIM or CSCP certification. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification. Experience with ERP system implementation or significant module optimization projects. Proficiency in advanced data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
