Key ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process, final, and first article inspections of manufactured products and components. Utilize various metrology equipment and inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM, to verify product specifications. Document inspection results accurately, maintaining detailed quality records and logs. Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment actions. Assist in root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Conduct routine calibration checks and maintenance of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product compliance. Recommended QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree in a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting technical blueprints. Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC) concepts. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to accurately document findings and non-conformances. Bonus QualificationsLean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with CMM programming or advanced statistical software (e.g., Minitab). Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100). Advanced proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
