We invite you to step into the role of Senior Technical Staff Engineer (IC3), where you will have the opportunity to design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient software components and services that are crucial for the Data Platform product, particularly focusing on AI and ML functionalities. Your Responsibilities: Lead the development of next-generation AI capabilities using microservices, Oracle's standard tools, and leading open-source frameworks. Create high-quality software components that serve as the backbone of the AI Data Platform product. Collaborate with technical leads to ensure that all new features align with industry best practices. Engage with remote and diverse teams to manage complex cloud systems and actively participate in on-call rotations. Embrace learning and adaptation across new territories and domains, contributing to our innovative environment. Play a vital role in recruiting and mentoring new team members to support our team's growth and development. Your Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in designing and operating large-scale cloud services. Strong expertise in Java and related technologies; proficiency in Python is a plus. Experience with cloud development on major platforms such as Oracle, AWS, Azure, or GCP. In-depth understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools for managing distributed systems. Knowledge of DevOps automation and CI/CD tools (Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Prometheus). Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex challenges in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Experience in AI/ML is highly preferred, including: A background in building and managing Generative AI, Agentic, or RAG systems. Familiarity with current open-source AI models/frameworks (Llama, LangGraph, etc.). Knowledge and experience with ML Ops and relevant tooling/infrastructure.
