This is a great opportunity for strong MS nurses comfortable with a variety of medical and post-surgical patients. Unit Details 34 beds Ratios: Days 1:5 | Nights 1:6 PCT support (1:12 max ratio) Charge Nurse on both shifts | House Supervisor on nights Remote Telemetrymetrymetry monitoring (Monitor Tech reads strips) Chronic BiPAP/CPAP patients Patient Population COPD, CHF, ortho (hips/knees/shoulders), appendectomy, cholecystectomy, diverticulitis, bowel resection, pancreatitis, and general med/surg cases. Requirements BLS & NIHSS required MS/PCU/Telemetrymetrymetry or CCU experience required Heparin drips per protocol (no titratable drips required) Navy blue scrubs Scheduling & Expectations No blocked scheduling requests Self-scheduling (based on census/staffing needs) Weekend rotation (currently 4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks) Holiday rotation If canceled, may be placed on call (45-min return time) Floating within MS scope Orientation: 1 shift clinical education 2 shifts with preceptor If you're a strong Med Surg RN looking for a solid night contract with great support staff, apply today!
